Any person who wants such as license should log into the respective State’s Labour Department website. For the state of Maharashtra, the website is mahakamgar.maharashtra.gov.in. 

For offline application, the applicant must fill out the registration application and submit it to the Chief Inspector of the concerned area along with the prescribed fee in the department of labor. Only if the application is correctly filled the Chief Inspector will issue the Shop Act License. 

For an online application, the applicant has to fill in the application through the website, upload the necessary document and pay the prescribed fee. This fee may vary from state to state.
